"I'm ready" I tell myself. I'm excited for my boys and I am looking forward to changing the focus from them to us. The thing is what I am not ready for is coming home and seeing that the tree guy came and took down our dead tree. And instead of the big tall tree in our back yard I see this
In the big scheme of things its great, we weren't here, we didn't have to endure the noise but it is sad to come home and see no tree. I love trees and this tree was no different. This tree has been apart of our home since we moved here, over 20 years ago. It kept our home cool in the summer, a laundry line for our clothes, a perfect hide-n-seek spot. It was so beautiful in the wind (well when it was alive), fall colors and leaf piles. My boys grew up with that tree, and it is no more. This tree won't be coming home in December or summer, it has taken a permanent departure from our life. Good bye Pin oak you will truly be missed.
